Bay County military Veterans may file their military discharge papers, form DD 214, at the Bay County Clerk's office for no charge. Veterans are entitled to free copies of their own military discharge papers (DD 214's) when they present current valid photo identification. Military discharge papers (DD 214's) are not public records and can only be requested by the military veteran of record or a family member presenting a certified death certificate of the veteran of record.
